“Cowboy” Solenn Heussaff reminds Judy Ann Santos of her younger self

While working on the Tiyanak remake, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo found herself quickly becoming a fan of Kapuso stars Solenn Heussaff and Tom Rodriguez.

“Ay, ang husay nila. I never thought na working with Tom and Solenn would (allow) me to say na meron pa pala sa generation nila na sobrang professional when it comes to work ethic -- being on time, knowing their lines (at) magaan ka-trabaho,” she told Startalk.

The actress-host noted how Solenn, in particular, surprised her.

“Si Solenn, I never thought na ganyan pala siya ka-koboy. Pag sinabi mong retouch yung putik, ay gumulong si bakla sa putikan. Wala siyang pakialam,” Judy Ann shared.

Watching how Solenn is willing to take on anything reminds Judy Ann of how eager and flexible she was when she was younger.

“Kung paano ako ka-koboy before noong dalaga pa ako, ‘yun ‘yung nakita ko sa kanya. I-minus natin ‘yung Ingles at Prances ha. Pero ‘yung (kilos), ganoong-ganoon,” she added.

According to her, Solenn is the total package.

“(She’s) very down to earth (at) parang lahat na ng talent, sinakop na ni Solenn. Ang selfish! Maganda, sexy, makinis, marunong mag-Prances, nagluluto, nagpe-paint, kumakanta, sumasayaw,” she said.

The Tiyanak star joked, however, that she has one edge over the French-Filipina actress, host and designer.

“Di niya pa kayang mag-Tagalog ng straight. ‘Yun na lang ‘yung kaya kong gawin,” she said, laughing.

On a more serious note, Judy Ann expressed how pleased she is with Solenn because the latter gives her hope about the stars of this generation.

“Nakakatuwa (siya)… Sana marami pang ganyang mga artista dahil mas nakakataba ng puso na nakakakita ka ng artista after you na inaalagaan ‘yung industriya na pinangalagaan mo,” she declared.
