Daughters of ‘Da King’ talk about family while growing apart

It was on February 2004 when iconic actor and action star Fernando Poe, Jr. admitted to the public that he indeed has a daughter with former actress and beauty queen, Rowena Moran.
Her name was Lovi Poe, a 15-year-old student from Angeles City.
FPJ also admitted that he has a son with former actress Anna Marin. He is Ronian Poe, who is now a well-known DJ.
Prior to these admissions, the public only knew that FPJ had a daughter with his wife, actress Susan Roces: Mary Grace Poe, whom we all know now as Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares.
For the first time, half sisters Lovi and Grace had their first television interview - an exclusive with Ricky Lo of Startalk.
When did Lovi and Senator Grace find out that they were sisters?
Senator Grace answered, “Ako ha, I don’t know about you (addressing Lovi), ako, honestly I found out during the campaign of my dad.”
Lovi replied, “Ako, I knew a long time ago, I think. I’m just not sure about what age, pero parang of course, I knew. I definitely knew.”
Then she told Senator Grace, “I think I first met you and Tita Susan during the wake of Papa and that was the first time and of course, it was awkward for me, but then I remember, sila pa ‘yung nagyayaya sa akin to join at sumama doon sa van.”
Sen. Grace replied: “Yeah, I remember. When I first saw Lovi in Sto. Domingo (Church), I was really so touched because she was a really young girl, so sweet, so pretty, actually. You know, she was so quiet, she had a hanky. Naiyak tuloy ako. You know, siyempre kinda awkward rin, eh.”
What are their fondest memories about their father, FPJ?
Lovi said, “Ako, for me kasi, I didn’t get to spend much time with my dad kasi I was raised nga sa ibang bansa.”
Senator Grace said, “I feel also regret that she didn’t really have that much time because of the circumstance, because I mean, seeing you now, he would have been proud. I mean, you’re so beautiful, so accomplished. He’s such a doting dad and he would have cared for you even more.”
Does Senator Grace approve of Rocco Nacino for Lovi?
“Alam mo, hindi ko kilala, pero nakita ko ‘yung litrato, very cute. Sabi ko, ‘I-update mo ako kung sino ang mga dine-date mo ngayon .’ Sabi ko, maganda ang age gap nila kasi, di ba, he’s two years older? So at least he’s older.”
“Basta kung ano naman ‘yung masaya siya at inaalagan siya dapat,” said the senator.
Then she asked Lovi, “Inaalagaan ka naman?”
“Yes, so far,” laughed Lovi.
What is their message for Susan Roces?
Lovi said, “I remember before, when I was younger, when my dad passed away, nagkakausap kami for a while through text and through phone and she has always been very nice to me, so I’m very thankful nga. I’m very grateful kasi despite na wala na si Papa, through Tita Susan, through Ate Grace, I feel his love. I feel ‘yung pagmamahal ni Papa through them.”
Senator Grace said, “Mom, thank you for your big heart. Actually, it’s the only way I can say it. Another thing is also for your dignity because you know, ikaw ang nagiging example sa akin how to act in difficult situations.”
