Lovi gets teary-eyed at the kindness of Sen. Poe and Susan Roces

It has been almost 10 years since Fernando Poe Jr. died.

But Lovi Poe said she still feels his love for her through actress Susan Roces and Senator Grace Poe-Llamanzares.

Startalk aired the second and last part of her joint interview with Sen. Llamanzares, her half sister, Saturday, Nov. 15.

The half-sisters, reminisced and bantered as if they were not strangers for the most part of their lives.

"Nararamdaman ko pa rin ‘yung pagmamahal ni Papa through Tita Susan at Ate Grace, through their support. Kasi nga sa ganitong klase ng mga sitwayson, let's face it, not eveyone can always be nice. But they've always been nice to me. Ang sarap lang ng pakiramdam kasi...," Lovi paused, trying to hold back tears, but quickly composed herself.

"Naiiyak ako! Hindi ko ine-expect sa ganitong klaseng sitwasyon ay mabibigyan ako ng chance to actually be myself," she concluded.

"Thank you for acknowledging it," the senator told Lovi, before elaborating on her mother's approach towards things that other people might have handled differently.

"It's really my mom who started this. She has such a big heart. Sa umpisa pa lang sinabi nya: Kung ano man ‘yung nangyari sa nakalipas, hindi kasalanan ng mga bata. Kaya she's always been welcoming," the senator offered.

Lovi went on to thank Senator Poe-Llamanzares.

"Thank you very much for accepting me. Para sakin, I feel like Papa is guiding us. I'm just really thankful and I'm very proud of you. Nakaka-inspire talaga, not just for me but for everybody," she said.

"So I think it's important that you run (in the next elections). Just kidding!" she told the senator coyly, who simply laughed it off.
