Ex-couple Sef-Yassi takes on Mark-Rochelle tandem in 'Sunday All Stars' showdown

Former couple Sef Cadayona and Yassi Pressman will have to draw fire from each other as their teams are pitted against the tandem of Mark Bautista and Rochelle Pangilinan in next Sunday’s all-out merge on Sunday All Stars.

There was no winner declared in the most recent showdown.

It was instead announced that the top two groups were Insta Gang, headed by Mark, and Ligang iLike, headed by Sef. The bottom two teams were Rochelle’s Tweet Hearts and Yassi’s Tropang Trending.

With that, the showdown will continue in a more explosive battle where Insta Gang and Tweet Hearts will merge and compete with the joint forces of Ligang iLike and Tropang Trending.

News of Sef and Yassi’s breakup surfaced less than a month ago.

Earlier in December, the two still seemed happy together when they guested  in The Ryzza Mae Show. Sef told the child star host that his knack for playing the guitar was motivated by wanting to impress Yassi.

Sef and Yassi, both excellent dancers, also co-starred in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Kaleidoscope World, a dance movie inspired by the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona.

Will the former sweethearts show chemistry on the dance floor despite their breakup and make their teams gel?   

Will it encourage a stronger partnership between two people who were best friends?
