‘Sunday All Stars’ throws a musical baby shower for Jolina

For those who missed Jolina Magdangal-Escueta from Sunday All Stars last January 26, she will not be seen in the Sunday variety show for some time.

Jolina is preparing for the arrival of her baby. Her expected delivery date is February 18.

Last January 19, Jolina announced during a baby shower for her on Sunday All Stars that it will be her last appearance in the show before she gives birth.

But she assured that she will continue to follow the show and be with the stars in spirit.

The special treat for Jolina last January 19 was a musical baby shower. It started with a video montage of the milestones in her life – the June 2011 announcement of her engagement with Rivermaya band member Mark Escueta, their very emotional exchange of vows during their November 2011 wedding and the July 2013 announcement of her pregnancy.

The video also showed well-wishes from her parents-in-law.

“Isang napakagandang pangyayari sa aming pamilya ang malaman na meron na kaming magiging isang apo na lalaki,” Atty. Eduardo Escueta said.

“With the unconditional love and support of her family and Mark’s family, we will always be there for her,” Mrs. Elvira Escueta added.

Jolina sang her rendition of Celine Dion’s Miracle, which the Canadian singer intended to release to celebrate the birth of her son René-Charles.  Jaya, Kyla, Camille Prats and Lindsay Custodio  - all moms themselves - joined Jolina in the heartfelt and inspired song number.

Afterwards, she thanked the people who are making the journey of her pregnancy grace-filled and fun. The list included Regine Velasquez, Jaya, Kyla, Maricris Garcia, LJ Reyes, Rochelle Pangilinan and Max Collins.

The singer, actress and host also thanked her GMA family for the support and understanding it has given her.

“Mami-miss ko talaga ‘to, pero manonood pa rin ako palagi at magte-text pa rin ako kay Ms. Ruth kung sino ang bet ko na winner ng mga groups,” she said.
