'Sunday PinaSaya,' proud of Aiai Delas Alas' ASEAN film festival Best Actress award

Filipino pride, Philippine Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas was once again recognized as a world-class actress when she won the Best Actress award for her independent film Area at the ASEAN International Film Festival And Awards (AIFFA) held in Malaysia last Saturday (May 6).

The veteran actress couldn’t make it in the awarding ceremony so she took to Instagram her message of thanks.

Her Sunday PinaSaya family is happy and proud of her international recognition. Birthday boy Wally Bayola and Pambansang Bae Alden Richards cheered out loud, “Congratulations!”

The actress was also ecstatic to share her achievement on stage yesterday, “Thank you po [at] thank you po sa ASEAN International Film Festival [And Awards]. Ito po ay ibinabahagi ko rin sa aming direktor na si Direk Louie Ignacio na nanalo rin po bilang Best Director para sa pelikulang ‘Area.’”

Dagdag pa niya, “At sa lahat po ng bumubuong cast at staff ng BG Productions [International], congratulations po sa Team ‘Area.’”

Congratulations, Comedy Queen! You truly are a pride of the Philippines!
