Regine Velasquez-Alcasid leads The Clash auditions in Cebu

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is back in the Queen City of the South, this time to lead the nationwide auditions for GMA Network’s newest singing competition—The Clash.

Airing soon on GMA-7, The Clash is set to feature hopefuls who will compete against each other to be the country’s next solo singing superstar.

The Cebu-leg of the auditions will be held this Saturday, February 17, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at the Gaisano Island Mall Mactan.

The competition is open to all male and female Filipinos, amateur and professional, 16 years old and above. Interested applicants need to bring the original and photocopy of their birth certificate and two recent photos (1 2x2 and 1 full body shot). They also need to prepare at least two songs (English and Filipino) for the audition with minus-1 audio or to be performed with musical instruments.

Joining Regine during the screening process are directors Bert de Leon and Louie Ignacio.

As a treat to the loyal Cebuano fans, GMA Regional TV has also organized a ‘Kapuso Meet and Greet’ with Regine at 4 p.m..
