'The Clash' opens online auditions for its fifth season

All-original GMA musical competition The Clash just opened its online auditions on Sunday, August 7, for its new season which is set to premiere in 2023.

Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz, who will return as Clash Masters, announced the exciting news on All-Out Sundays last weekend.

At the same time, mechanics on how to audition for the fifth season of The Clash were released on the official social media pages of the program.

The online auditions are now open to all natural-born Filipinos 16 years old (by January 1, 2023) and above.

The audition entry must contain one edited video file not exceeding 100MB. Accepted file formats are MP4 and MOV only.

The audition video should contain the following:

- self-introduction (15 seconds or less)
- one Tagalog song (one minute and 30 seconds)
- one English song (one minute and 30 minutes)

Auditionees may sing a capella or with accompaniment (M-1 or live instrument).

Use of special vocal effects or enhancements and filters to audition videos are discouraged. Look your best and choose a well-lighted area for the recording.

Beside JulieVer, the formidable trio of Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha, Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, and Comedy Concert Queen Aiai Delas Alas will be back once again as The Clash Panel.

Iligan City's Mariane Osabel is the fourth and reigning The Clash champion.

Past winners of the TV singing contest are Golden Cañedo, Jeremiah Tiangco, and Jessica Villarubin.
