Queendom's Jessica Villarubin and Hannah Precillas duet to 'Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw' in 'The Clash 2023'
Respective winners of The Clash Season 3 and Bet ng Bayan Jessica Villarubin and Hannah Precillas kicked off the third round of The Clash 2023 with an explosive opening number.
Jessica and Hannah, who are part of All-Out Sundays's Queendom, performed a powerful rendition of Sheryn Regis's hit ballad "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" on the The Clash arena.
This is a symbolic event for the competition as contestants battle it out by pairs in The Clash 2023's current round aptly called "Pares Kontra Pares."
In its last episode aired on Sunday, March 19, it was Team Krome (Kirby Bas and Jerome Granada) vs Team ZyRex (Zyrene Ciervo and Rex Baculfo).
Per The Clash's mechanics, judges Aiai Delas Alas, Christian Bautista, and Lani Misalucha have to deliberate which is the weakest of the two pairs.
Although they perform as a duo, the said contenders with the poorest performance have to compete with each other through the elimination round called 'Matira Ang Matibay.' The winner will continue his/her journey in The Clash 2023 along with the top two contenders.
In the case of Team Krome and Team Zyrex, it was Kirby and Jerome who got the lowest score from The Clash 2023 panel.
During the elimination round, it was Jerome who made it to return to the 'Top of the Clash' and will join Zyrene and Rex in the next round of the competition.
In a nutshell, it was Kirby who got eliminated during the debut of the "Pares Kontra Pares" round.
The Clash 2023 is hosted by Clash Masters Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz.
It airs Sundays at 7:50 p.m. before Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on GMA.
