'The Lost Recipe' full trailer earns 1M views on Facebook

The full trailer of GMA News TV's new series The Lost Recipe has reached an online milestone of having more than one million views on the Facebook page of GMA News and Public Affairs in a span of less than a week.

The five-minute full trailer shows Harvey, a failed chef, who is granted the chance to travel back in time to study and learn under the Matriarch of Filipino Food herself, Conchita Valencia. In a string of events, Harvey accidentally takes her Adobo recipe with him, consequently erasing the food empire built upon it.

Many got impressed with The Lost Recipe's cinematography and special effects, and the team's effort in offering a promising and fresh story concept to the viewers..

Known for producing shows I Heart Davao and Inday Will Always Love You that promote local tourism, some netizens also lauded GMA Public Affairs for having a high regard to the country's history as The Lost Recipe features Manila's iconic landmarks like Intramuros, Manila Post Office, and Manila City Hall.

One netizen said, "I love the flavor of this series by GMA Public Affairs. As a person who knows Manila Central Postal Office, na-excite ako na ginamit nila ang building nito as a setting. Looking forward sa plot ng istorya. Congrats to the team behind this series."

Topbilled by Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda, The Lost Recipe is a fantasy romance series that revolves around love, time travel, and the culinary world. It features Adobo, the most renowned Filipino dish in the world, together with other popular Filipino foods.

Last October, Mikee and Kelvin took a kitchen training with the series' consultant Chef Anton Amoncio, who is also part its cast, together with their fellow cast members Thea Tolentino, Paul Salas, Phytos Ramirez, Prince Clemente, Faye Lorenzo, at Crystal Paras to prepare them for their roles.

Other artists featured in the new series are Kim Rodriguez, Maureen Larrazabal, Topper Fabregas, Ariella Arida, and Almira Muhlach.

Directed by Monti Parungao, The Lost Recipe premieres on Monday, January 18, 8 p.m. on GMA News TV.
