Faye Lorenzo

The sexy Kapuso is busy with two TV shows plus personal projects including streaming video games.

Sexy Kapuso actress Faye Lorenzo is still on cloud nine following the positive feedback received by The Lost Recipe.

The GMA News TV romantic-fantasy series is top-billed by Kelvin Miranda and Mikee Quintos.

The show was off to a good start even before it premiered last January 18.

Its full trailer has reached an online milestone of having more than 1M views on the Facebook page of GMA News and Public Affairs in less than a week.

The show continues to earn good reviews from viewers and the press.

“Nung pilot episode talagang nakatutok ako, pinanood ko ang galling, ang ganda-ganda, ang ganda ng effects,” Faye, who portrays the role of Pepper in the series, told GMANetwork.com.

Busy and grateful

Faye has been very busy as of late.

Aside from The Lost Recipe, she is also seen in the comedy show Bubble Gang on GMA-7.

Being in Bubble Gang is no joke. The program has been around since 1995, earning it the distinction as the country's longest-running comedy show.

In that amount of time, the show had been home to a revolving door of accomplished female stars that include Ara Mina, Rufa Mae Quinto, Toni Gonzaga, and Aiko Melendez, among many others.

The show also has a reputation for casting sexy female stars, making Faye worthy to be included in that list.

That same thought, while inspiring, also carries tremendous pressure for any newbie trying to break into the business.

Faye admitted feeling intimidated seeing veterans like Michael V, Paolo Contis, Antonio Aquitania, as well as female stars Kim Domingo, Chariz Solomon, and Valeen Montenegro on the set.

“Nung bago ako siyempre hindi ko pa sila kilala lahat so parang nape-pressure ako,” Faye, who joined Bubble Gang in 2019, confessed.

“Kasi 'yon nga napakatagal na ng show na 'yon tapos papasok ka as baguhan - natatakot talaga ako,” she smiled in recollection.

“Sinasabi nila na 'be yourself' and 'wag kang mahiya.' So ikaw, ang babait naman ng mga tao na 'to, so mas na-lessen 'yong pakiramdam ko na natatakot ako so mas magaan [magtrabaho] kasi magaan 'yong mga katrabaho ko.”

Game for anything

Faye is also into online game streaming. She has always been a video game fan but the streaming platform is a new world for her even at this moment.

“'Di ba nung pandemic dumadami talaga 'yong mga streamers? Sabi ko bakit kaya hindi ko i-try at least nakikipag-usap ako sa mga fans ko [and] nakikita din nila ako while naglalaro.”

Faye said that she would occasionally bump into fellow celebrities during online games.

Faye mentioned Ragnarok, Call of Duty, and Mobile Games as some of the games that she plays and streams online.

This same love for video games has also inspired Faye to sign up for arnis and stunt training classes recently.

Why not?

Actually, sa lahat naman [during the training] nahirapan ako.”

Arnis training helps keep Faye maintain her great shape. It also prepares her in case an offer to do an action project comes along.

“Talagang ngayon marami akong gusto,” she said.

Handling pesky fans

Most of Faye's avid fans are guys. One look at her TikTok and Instagram accounts and you would see why.

Her streaming videos are also head-turners because Faye prefers to don sexy outfits while playing her favorite video games.

There's also Faye showing off her sexy curves every Friday on Bubble Gang.

Because of all these, Faye is not spared from the influx of rude fans throwing malicious comments her way.

How does Faye handle these inappropriate remarks, especially on social media?

And while it comes with the territory, Faye reminded the public to be respectful of celebrities regardless of the image or role that they are trying to project.
