Kuwento ni Chito sa GMANetwork.com, “I'm always hesitant when it comes to being invited to TV shows because I'd rather be in a band, ang gusto ko lang maging musikero.”
Aniya, “With The Voice Generations, it's a totally different experience kasi ito naman e coach ako. I was hesitant at first pero I was also excited because I've been mentoring singers and songwriters since 2010.
“Every year, we do that with Jim Paredes, Ryan Cayabyab, and Noel Cabangon. This is not a new experience for me to coach or to be a mentor but to be part of a show was what I was hesitant about.”
“I think because siyempre 'yun 'yung programming ko as a person e, that's what I'm used to, that's who I am. So I cannot separate myself from who I really am when it comes to being a coach,” ani Chito.
Dagdag niya, “Tuturuan ko silang maging mas rock and roll. When I say rock and roll, it's not the genre pero 'yung attitude towards facing something, kunwari meron kang kalaban na mas magaling, na mas talented, it's not just about vocals e, it's about rock and roll e.
“'Di ba rock and roll is about not accepting what's given there parang you stick it to the man so that's what I can share. I think that's very rock and roll.”
KILALANIN ANG THE VOICE GENERATIONS COACHES DITO:
Aniya, “I don't know actually how to prepare but I want to listen to the other coaches as well. Pinagmamasdan ko sila to see what they have to offer as artists, their strengths also, para if I see that this artist belongs to or mas bagay siya rito, kahit gusto ko siya, mas bagay ka rito, I'll be honest with that na mas bagay ka kay Billy, or kay Julie Anne, or kay Stell.”
Ang The Voice Generations ay ang newest spin-off ng biggest singing competition sa mundo na The Voice mula sa ITV Studios.
Mapapanood ito for the first time hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kung 'di pati na rin sa buong Asya via GMA Network simula ngayong August 27.
