Eva Le Queen

It may have been her first role in a TV series but for Eva Le Queen, it's more than just a role, and it's an inspiration.

Drag queen and The Write One actress Eva Le Queen reveals how important it is for her to star in the fantasy drama series as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

In her interview with fellow cast members in the GMA Regional TV morning show Mornings with GMA Regional TV on April 28, Eva noted how most roles given to the LGBTQIA+ in TV and movies are roles wherein they are not given the opportunity to show who they really are.

“Puwede kayong maging maganda, puwede kayong magpakatotoo and it's the best way that you can live your life,” she continued.

In a previous interview, Eva expressed how excited and pressured she was to be a part of mainstream television.

“Sobrang excited 'ko at sobrang laking [pressure]. May pressure, I think, for me kasi this is the first representation of drag in the mainstream, other than the reality show. It opens up a lot of opportunities,” she shared.

Meanwhile, in her interview on the Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel podcast, she expressed how glad she is that people are now more accepting of drag.

“Yung drag kasi, suddenly hindi na lang siya niche market, hindi na lang siya for members of LGBT. It's now something that is being enjoyed by everyone from all walks of life,” she said.
