Kapuso actress Kate Valdez earns praise from viewers because of her 'bida-kontrabida' portrayal in the GMA Afternoon Prime series, 'Unica Hija.'
Kate Valdez has been making buzz for her stellar performance in the GMA afternoon drama Unica Hija.
The Kapuso actress topbills the series where she plays multiple characters.
In the early episodes of the show, Kate shifted from one role to another after her core character Bianca, the kind-hearted daughter of a scientist and a religious woman, died after falling off a cliff.
Bianca was then cloned by her scientist father who successfully developed another "Bianca" through her DNA and her mother's egg cell. The clone was eventually identified as Hope after being adopted by her foster parent.
It was later revealed in the show that Bianca has three other clones, also played by Kate.
Hope and the other clones namely Fatima, Charity, and Agape have different personalities which Kate impressively portrayed.
In one scene in the episode today, February 7, of Unica Hija, the rebellious Fatima started a fight with Hope which earned praises from netizens because of Kate's 'bida-kontrabida' portrayal in the series.
"Galing talaga ni Kate kahit anong role. Bagay na bagay maging kontrabida. May katapat na si Carnation at [Aica]," a certain Dinnes Batiquin said, mentioning Kate's other villains in the series played by Faith Da Silva and Rere Madrid.
Because of her many characters in Unica Hija, one netizen remarked that Kate can play a role with a split personality.
"Ang galing ni Kate. Bigyan n'yo s'ya ng mala-split personality 'yung character pls. GMA Drama bagay eh!" Kaile Jetami wrote.
