On Tuesday, June 4, TOEI Company announced that Voltes V: Legacy - The Cinematic Experience will premiere in Japanese theaters this October.
The movie will be released in Japan on October 18 and is said to have improved editing and never-before-seen clips that were not included in the Philippine version released last year.
Voltes V: Legacy - The Cinematic Experience is the movie cut version of Voltes V: Legacy series, which was released in 2023. It stars some of the hottest young actors of GMA Network, which include Miguel Tanfelix, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho, and Ysabel Ortega. The film and series was directed by award-winning director Mark A. Reyes.
Voltes V: Legacy - The Cinematic Experience's official Japanese website wrote on Tuesday, “This film has been re-edited, including adding scenes that were not included in the Philippine version. In addition, the quality of the CG scenes, which were impeccable in the original, has been significantly improved through full-length remastering, resulting in a 'Super Electromagnetic Edited Version' with more impactful images!”
To elevate the experience of Voltes V: Legacy - The Cinematic Experience, the producers also promised that the movie would be dubbed for a better movie experience. There will also be a version in Filipino with Japanese subtitles.
Aside from the official announcement of the movie, June 4 also holds a special meaning for Voltes V and its creators as it was the premiere date of the original series in Japan. On June 4, 1977, Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V was released.
