Latest 'Voltes V: Legacy' trailer brings excitement to viewers anew

On the evening of January 14, GMA Network proudly released the newest trailer of Voltes V: Legacy, the live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese anime.

The 1-minute trailer showed the full first-look of the Boazanian ship holding Prince Zardoz, the antagonist of the show, who launches a battalion of aliens to invade earth.

Leading the battle is an unidentified actor playing Steve Armstrong , the Voltes V team leader, who shouts the iconic phrase, “Let's volt in,” before the iconic theme song plays in the background.

Following the trailer's release, netizens from all social media platforms -- YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram -- have been raving the stunning visuals in the trailer and commended the network for setting the bar high when it came to the quality of the upcoming show.

On Facebook, the trailer has already received more than 37,000 reactions and over 22,000 shares. Over on Twitter, the topic Voltes V earned the Top 10 spot on Philippine Twitter. Furthermore, the uploaded video on YouTube has already amassed more than 180,000 views.

Overall, the reactions were positive, with fans saying that they were immediately transported back to their childhood as soon as the theme song started playing in the background.

Voltes V: Legacy follows the story of three brothers, Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon Armstrong, and their friends Jamie Robinson and Mark Gordon, as they fight the forces of humanoid aliens known as Boazanians who plans to invade the earth and launch their beast fighter all over the world.
