Side-by-side comparison between new 'Voltes V: Legacy' trailer and original anime trends anew

Every child dreams of seeing his favorite cartoons come to life one way or another.

So when the revelation of the new Voltes V: Legacy trailer hit television sets last January 14, it gave the '70s and '90s kids a chance to relive their childhood memories once more.

In fact, a YouTuber named Elmo's Universe took it up a notch by uploading a side-by-side comparison of the trailer and the original anime on the popular video-streaming site.

The one-minute clip showed snippets of the Japanese anime playing alongside the trailer for fans to compare how much the production value has grown over the years.

The side-by-side clips sent fans on a frenzy and complimented GMA Network for setting a new standard of animation for Filipinos abroad.

One fan mentioned, “Grabe! Ang galing talaga ng Pinoy animators! Great job to GMA for producing such a world-class TV series na pwede mapasama sa Netflix shows so that the whole world and OFWs can also watch and connect to their childhood memories sa Pinas!”

Another added, “It's a big leap for GMA-7! Salute to all animators and those behind it. We are rooting for more! Congratulations, GMA!”

GMA Network revealed the newest trailer of the much-awaited Voltes V: Legacy, the live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese anime of the same name.

The newly released trailer received generally positive response from the audience, including a few celebrities and personalities in the industry, and eventually, hitting the 1 million view mark in 24 hours on Facebook.

On Twitter, politician JV Ejercito shared the trailer in his profile along with the caption, “Excited for this.”

Meanwhile, Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha commented on GMA Network's post on Instagram and said, “Oh my gooooossshhh!!!! Pinapanuod ko 'to nung bata pa ako! Excited na ako!”

Yasmien Kurdi also said, “Nice one, @direkmark! Galing!”
