It's official!

Kapuso actors Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho, and Radson Flores are starring in the live-action adaptation of Voltes V: Legacy that's coming very soon on GMA!

The news was officially announced in a February 8 Chika Minute report in 24 Oras, confirming the three actors to be taking on the iconic roles of Big Bert Armstrong, Little Jon Armstrong, and Mark Gordon, respectively.

Matt Lozano, the grand winner of Eat Bulaga's 2016 singing contest Spogify, outmaneuvered the many auditionees for the role of Robert “Big Bert” Armstrong in 2020.

In preparation for his role, Matt has been documenting his journey by doing intense full-body workouts and learning arnis during the quarantine which he featured in his vlog. Big Bert, as many fans would know, is the defense tactician of the group and a master of hand-to-hand fighting styles.

Taking on the role of the cute but smart Little Jon Armstrong is none other than Kapuso child actor Raphael Landicho.

Raphael has starred in many Kapuso shows before getting cast in the live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime, among them Love of My Life, Bihag, Tadhana, and Magpakailanman.

In the series, Little Jon Armstrong is the Voltes V team's teen genius who pilots the Volt Frigate or the legs of the popular robot.

Meanwhile, handsome teen actor and StarStruck alum Radson Flores bagged the role of rodeo champion Mark Gordon.

This will be Radson's first big role after competing in the Kapuso reality artista search back in 2019.

Voltes V: Legacy is in partnership with Toei Company, Ltd and Telesuccess Productions, Inc.

Toei Company, Ltd is the name behind the original Japanese animation while Telesuccess Productions, Inc. created the original English scripts and dubbing back in 1978 and produced the later Tagalog versions.

Who could be playing Voltes V characters Steve Armstrong and Jamie Robinson?
