Wednesday, February 10, officially marks the big break of Kapuso actors Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega as they are confirmed to play the roles of Voltes V: Legacy characters Steve Armstrong and Jamie Robinson, respectively.

In a report made by 24 Oras reporter Nelson Canlas, the two actors share how they feel after bagging the role and how they plan to bring their characters to life on the small screen.

When it comes to playing Steve Rogers, actor Miguel Tanfelix says that he's in complete “cloud nine” every time he realizes he's landed the role of his dreams.

“Ang sarap sa pakiramdam,” he said.

“Para akong nasa cloud nine every time na gumigising ako sa umaga. I'm so pumped, e.

“Si Steve, leader siya so dapat alam ko kung paano maging leader, 'yung confidence niya, and of course, [in preparation] I read a lot of books about leadership at nakikinig ako ng podcasts.”

Excitedly, the lead actor promised both kids and kids at heart on a wild ride as they watch the live-action series.

“Babalik 'yung pagkabata n'yo at maalala n'yo yung mga moment na nanonood kayo ng 'Voltes V,'” he said, referring to both '70s and '90s kids who grew up watching the original anime.

“At para sa mga ka-henerasyon ko, ipaparanas namin sa inyo kung ano ang nararamdaman ng mga nanay at tatay n'yo before nung nanonood sila ng 'Voltes V' with a different flavor.

“It's very exciting! Ipaparamdam namin sa inyo ang lungkot, saya, epicness, at marami pang iba.”

Meanwhile, to gear up for her role as the only female member of the Voltes V team, actress Ysabel Ortega shared that she's been taking martial arts lessons even during the quarantine.

“Even before na mag-start 'yung official training namin, gusto ko nang magkaroon ng kahit kaunting background sa martial arts, kickboxing, muay thai, at I can say na now, I'm more than ready.”

She added, “'Voltes V: Legacy' has a lot of meaning behind its story.

“It's not just about family, but it's also about fighting for what you believe in, your country, and being a hero in your own way. I would love to be someone in that position to inspire a lot of people.”

Joining Miguel and Ysabel are Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, Matt Lozano as Big Bert Armstrong, and Raphael Landicho as Little Jon Armstrong.
