'Voltes V: Legacy' officially starts its production.
Production of GMA Network's upcoming live-action television series Voltes V: Legacy has begun, director Mark Reyes shared on Thursday, May 27.

To mark the milestone, which is the start of achieving his greatest dream, Direk Mark posted his Voltes V: Legacy official ID and captioned it, “Day 1 of an 8 year journey. Let's begin. ...Finally. #voltesvlegacy #letsvtogether #dreamsdocometrue.”

Apparently, it took eight years for the director to pitch and develop the concept and have it approved by GMA Network and Japanese animation studio Toei Company, Ltd.
On Saturday, May 29, the esteemed director teases fans with a photo from the first leg of the show's lock-in taping at Illumination Studio.
He wrote, “Finally giving you a first official sneak peek at 'Voltes V: Legacy' now in production. From yesterday's Day 2 shoot. #boazanskyrookset.”
Voltes V: Legacy stars Kapuso heartthrob Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson, Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, Matt Lozano as Big Bert Armstrong, and child star Raphael Landicho as Lil Jon Armstrong.
Also joining the cast are Martin del Rosario as Prince Zardoz and Liezel Lopez as Zandra, Epy Quizon as Zuhl, Carlo Gonzalez as Draco, Neil Ryan Sese as Dr. Hook, and Gabby Eigenmann as Commander Robinson.
