By Jansen Ramos

Kapuso child actor Raphael Landicho truly knows his priorities as he excels in academics.

The Voltes V: Legacy star got a quarterly merit card for his academic achievement as a third grader.

Raphael was awarded the certificate of recognition for being the student with high honors in Grade 3 for the second quarter in the academic year 2021-2022 at the Manila Cathedral School in Tondo, Manila.

The school acknowledged him "for getting an average of 96 percent in all academic and non-academic subjects with no grade below 88 percent in any subjects."

Aside from attending school, Raphael makes sure he develops a hobby while excelling in his studies.

The nine-year-old child actor regularly trains in taekwondo and now holds a yellow belt that indicates his junior rank in the martial arts.

This could also mean that Raphael is training for Voltes V: Legacy, the live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese '70s anime, where he will play Little John Armstrong.

Here's a complete list of the revealed cast and the characters that they would play in the series:

Directed by Mark Reyes, Voltes V: Legacy is an exclusive offering of the GMA Entertainment Group. Its script, written by Suzette Doctolero, was approved by Toei Company, Ltd. and Telesuccess Productions Inc.
