Fans and non-fans of 'Voltes V' impressed by 5-minute mega trailer of 'Legacy'

Fans of the mecha robot franchise Voltes V: Legacy could not be more excited when the mega trailer premiered on December 31.

Long-time fan and comedy genius Michael V. is one of those who watched and were amazed by the trailer.

And before anyone could say anything unfavorable and unsavory about Voltes V, Michael V. had this to say, "Kung hindi talaga kayo fan, wala nang magpapasaya sa inyo kahit sino at kahit kailan."

He added, “Marami pa rin ang mga nagpapanggap at hindi matanggap na kaya nang gawin 'to ng network with the right tools, right people and a ton of passion.”

Michael V. was so worked up after seeing the trailer that he didn't care anymore about what others would say.

“To all the fans and the bashers, this show is for you! Wala kahit isa sa inyo ang p'wedeng magnakaw ng saya na naramdaman ko nu'ng napanood ko 'to,” he said.

Some netizens, meanwhile, agreed with the comedy genius, saying that people should not put down the series especially when they have only seen just a fraction of it.

“This is our childhood, hindi naman talaga kaya i-recreate ang experience and daydreams natin with the animé, pero let's appreciate this enormous effort,” a commenter said.

Another netizen also said that even non-fans of Voltes V would agree that Filipino TV has leveled up.

One netizen said that he also had goosebumps watching the trailer. Another also gave kudos to the cast of the series, “its always the talent to bring up the characters to life.”

Another user pointed out that it's high time viewers started appreciating the hard work and the resources that the network has poured into Voltes V: Legacy. Some even said that the CGI effects are now comparable with foreign shows or series.
