Ned Armstrong is the father of the three Armstrong brothers Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon, and the Boazanian attack force leader on Earth, Prince Zardoz, the main antagonist in 'Voltes V.'

A lot of surprises have been revealed in the newest teaser of Voltes V: Legacy called the mega trailer released on Kapuso Countdown to 2023 Gayo Daejeon last New Year's Eve.

This includes the design of the Voltes V Pilot's launch conveyors, live-action Boazan beast fighters, cast in their costumes, more groundbreaking CGI effects, and new cast members.

Among the newly-revealed artists who are part of the Voltes V: Legacy are Max Collins, Neil Ryan Sese, Christian Vasquez, Chanda Romero, Ryan Eigenmann, Jon Lucas, and the man of the hour Dennis Trillo who is currently making buzz because of his portrayal as Ibarra in the hit GMA primetime series Maria Clara at Ibarra.

Dennis portrays Ned Armstrong, a hornless royal-blooded Boazanian, in the live-action adaptation series of the classic Japanese anime Voltes V.

Ned Armstrong is the father of the three Armstrong brothers Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon, and the Boazanian attack force leader on Earth, Prince Zardoz, the main antagonist in Voltes V.

In a virtual interview with Voltes V: Legacy director Mark Reyes on Tuesday, January 3, revealed that Dennis was originally cast as Zardoz during the early planning stage of Voltes V: Legacy that commenced almost a decade ago.

Fast forward to today, Dennis, 41, was still chosen to be part of Voltes V: Legacy this time to give life to an older character. Meanwhile, Zardoz is played by Martin Del Rosario.

"His calendar opened up after Legal Wives that we were able to get him as Dr. Armstrong. In the original idea kung gagawin mo back in 2014, kung sino 'yung cast, ando'n si Dennis," Direk Mark shared.

Voltes: Legacy, written by Suzette Doctolero, is an exclusive offering of the GMA Entertainment Group.

It bears the potential of being the Philippines' first serious epic sci-fi TV show as it is partnered with Toei Company, Ltd., the same company that brought the robot saga to life, and its local licensor Telesuccess Productions, Inc.

GMA also engaged the services of Riot Inc. Post-Production along with the GMA Post Video Graphics and Audio team to handle the CGI and the live-action elements of the stories.

Voltes V: Legacy airs 2023 on GMA Telebabad.
