Who is Martin Tan? What to know about Bela Padilla's new beau

Bela Padilla recently made headlines after confirming her relationship with tech CEO Martin Tan.

In a TikTok video uploaded by content creator Johnny K., the couple shared a few things about their relationship.

According to Martin, they have been together for eight months now, having met through a common friend.

But who exactly is Martin?

A tech CEO

Martin is the CEO of software development company Tenext.ai, which has offices in the Philippines and Singapore.

According to the company’s LinkedIn profile, Tenext.ai develops AI-powered voice agents designed to make customer conversations faster and more efficient. The company says its platform enables businesses to streamline customer support, improve productivity, and deliver more human-like interactions at scale.

He studied in the US

Martin pursued higher education in the United States, earning a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Northwestern University.

He previously studied at Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business, where he was a Finance and Accounting Department Scholar and Leavey Scholar, graduating magna cum laude.

He founded a men's makeup brand

Beyond finance, business, and technology, Martin also ventured into the beauty and fashion industry.

In 2017, he founded Danzei Artillery, a men's makeup brand whose flagship product, War Paint, was distributed nationwide in the Philippines through major barbershop chains.

Through the venture, Martin also became an advocate for challenging traditional notions of masculinity and beauty.

In the same year, he delivered a TEDxForbesPark talk titled “I’m A Dude and I Wear Makeup,” where he shared his personal experience of wearing makeup and discussed his journey toward embracing individuality and challenging conventional social norms.
