“Kuya Germs never runs out of new ideas” – Shermaine Santiago

Actress, singer and TV host Shermaine Santiago has been a mainstay of Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman for more than a decade. The iconic late night show recently celebrated its 18th anniversary.
What are Shermaine’s fondest memories from the show?
GMANetwork.com caught up with Shermaine after the pictorial of Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman and she told us that every single episode is a memorable one.
Shermaine said, “Nandoon ‘yung tatak everytime nagbe-birthday si Kuya Germs, month-long ‘yung celebration. Aside from that, Walang Tulugan [with the Master Showman] is a That’s Entertainment reunion. In a span of eighteen years, ‘yun ‘yung mga tumatatak.”
Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman has defined the standards for late night shows. What more can viewers expect from the show this time?
Shermaine answered, “Ang aim naman ng bawat show is gumanda nang gumanda, at saka si Kuya Germs kasi never runs out of new ideas, lalong-lalo na sa mga kabataan, so definitely there’s a lot more in store for the show.”
What is the most important thing that she has learned from Kuya Germs, the driving force behind Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman?
“’Yung character and attitude, ‘yun ang unang mino-mold niya sa bawat anak-anakan niya sa industriya. Kasama diyan ang professionalism at higit sa lahat, ‘yung pakikipagkapwa-tao sa lahat ng nakakatrabaho mo,” replied Shermaine.
She continued, “That’s the most important thing and the best foundation na mayroon dapat ang isang artista kasi not all the time naman, sikat ka or may project ka. Ang maiiwan mong legacy at memories sa mga taong nakakatrabaho mo ay ‘yung kung anong klaseng mayroon ka.”
