Donations, help sought for dog pound in San Mateo, Rizal

The Animal Kingdom Foundation has called for donations and help for the dog pound in San Mateo, Rizal, which was severely affected by flooding during Typhoon “Ulysses.”

“San Mateo Pound has lost almost everything because of #UlyssesPh. They are one of very few dog pounds in our country with a no-kill policy (they do not euthanize their impounded animals),” the foundation said in a Facebook post on Saturday.

The AKF team requested everyone to donate cash as well as dog food, food bowls, food containers, blankets, trash bags, walis tingting and other cleaning materials.

The foundation said it would be bringing dog food and other supplies to the San Mateo dog pound starting tomorrow.
