Did you know that Mario Maurer, Gulf Kanawut and Nonkul Chanon have all been to the Philippines?

The three Thai actors shared their fondest memories in the country during a virtual press conference for prepaid brand TNT on Tuesday.

Nonkul, who visited the Philippines for a fan meet a few years back, said he got to eat a lot of delicious food during his stay.

"My fondest memory in the Philippines is when I went to the Philippines [for a] fan meeting. My fanclub is the one who hosted this for me, to meet them, and after that they invite me to a meal also and they treat me with a lot of delicious food," the actor said.

Nonkul said he even got to try balut and liked it. "That is the first time in my life that I saw a duck [in] the egg, but I did try it and the taste is surprisingly better than I thought."

Gulf also recalled having a delicious Filipino delicacy during his own fan meet.

The "TharnType" actor apparently tried taho for the first time, and "really liked it."

Mario, who has done several projects here in the Philippines, admitted he still has not tried balut. Nevertheless, the "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" actor was proud that he still remembered Filipino words like "gutom ako" and "kili-kili."

Nonkul was familiar with the phrase "Ikaw na."  Gulf, on the other hand, knew how to say "Bet kita."

Mario, Gulf and Nonkul virtually greeted their Filipino fans on May 11 as brand endorsers for local prepaid brand TNT's latest campaign, "Kilig Saya."

The Thai actors also talked about their love for their Filipino fans, as well as wanting to visit the Philippines after the pandemic is over. —JCB, GMA News
