Miss Universe Philippines 2022 names Top 16

The 32 candidates for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 have now been reduced to half as the pageant’s coronation night goes underway on Saturday.

After their introductory walk in Cavaso dresses at Mall of Asia Arena, 16 ladies heard their names called to advance to the next round.

They are the following:

Miss Nueva Vizcaya Gillian Katherine De Mesa
Miss Taguig Katrina Llegado
Miss Cebu City Chantal Elise Schmidt
Miss Aklan Jona Sweett
Miss Makati City Michelle Dee
Miss Albay Julia Calleja Saubier
Miss Palawan Angelica Lopez

Miss Iloilo Province Vanessa Ann Caro
Miss Baguio City Ghenesis Latugat
Miss Cebu Province Lou Dominique Piczon
Miss Misamis Oriental Annabelle McDonnell
Miss Bohol Pauline Cucharo Amelinckx
Miss Ilocos Sur Jewel Alexandria Palacat
Miss Laguna Sonja Jeyn Tanyag
Miss Pasay City Celeste Cortesi
Miss Iloilo City Dorothy Gemillan

Meanwhile, Shawntel Cruz of Benguet exited the competition early as she was feeling under the weather.

Only one of the candidates will be crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022 and represent the country in the international pageant.

GMA-7 will broadcast the Miss Universe Philippines coronation event on Sunday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. – RC, GMA News
