Nancy Binay goes for an elegant Filipiniana for the opening of 19th Congress

Senator Nancy Binay has opted for a classy look for the opening session of the 19th Congress.

In a photo posted on her Facebook page, Binay showed off her elegant and traditional Filipiniana created by Randy Ortiz.

According to the post, the terno features all-piña fabric from Aklan.

"The sleeves sport callado embroidery, while the front and back carry sampaguita cutouts also made from piña fabric," the post added.

After the opening of the 19th Congress, Binay is attending fthe irst State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City.

Marcos is set to unveil his plans for the country in the next 12 months during his first SONA, exactly 25 days since he took his oath as the 17th President of the Philippines. —JCB, GMA News
