How does Drew Arellano manage working at home while being a dad at the same time?

By KAELA MALIG,GMA News

With multiple interviews and projects to work on at home while being a father to 2 young boys, Drew Arellano makes people wonder just how he does it.

During the media conference for the new GMA-7 series “New Normal: Survival Guide” on Tuesday, the host dropped his secret.

“Most of the shoots aren’t serious naman, so I let the kids just walk around,” he said.

However, if an interview or a project had to be conducted in a more serious manner, Drew would ask his wife Iya Villania or anyone in the house to keep an eye on the children.

“Whenever they cry or nahahagip iyak nila, wala ako magagawa,” he said, citing this was an “uncontrollable factor.”

He added: “Hindi naman kami nakatira sa mansion or soundproof na studio. We gotta do what we gotta do.”

Drew, along with his cohosts, are set to shoot at home their own episodes for “New Normal: Survival Guide” due to the pandemic and the quarantine.

He will host “Family Time,” which will deal with parenting, love, and relationships.

“New Normal: Survival Guide” is GMA News and Public Affairs’ newest set of shows that aim to help viewers cope better amid the pandemic.

Featured hosts are Winnie Monsod on “Newsmakers” every Monday; Kara David on “Bright Side” every Tuesday; Susan Enriquez on “Pera Paraan” every Wednesday; Rovilson Fernandez and Tonipet Gaba on “Home Work” every Thursday; and Drew on “Family Time” every Friday. – RC, GMA News
