5 times Rocco Nacino proved he already knew Melissa Gohing was the one
In case you missed it, Rocco Nacino and Melissa Gohing are married!
Their wedding held on January 21st on a naval warship in Manila may have taken many by surprise, but the "Descendants of the Sun" actor has given off more than enough signs that he was ready to spend his whole life with the volleyball superstar.
1. Rocco said he always wanted to be a 'provider'
In an interview for a special online cover story with GMA News Online in December 2019, Rocco said he definitely saw marriage in the near future.
The actor also talked about being an “old-school” kind of guy who wanted to build a house and being a provider for his family.
It looks like Rocco stayed true to his word since he just finished building his dream home in Antipolo last year and he proposed to Melissa shortly after celebrating their third anniversary.
2. Rocco faces his fears for Melissa
Rocco recently revealed in one of his Instagram posts that he was actually afraid of heights.
Melissa, however, made him “conquer” his fear by taking a picture with him on top of a rope ladder at the Masungi Georeserve.
“Yung kakalabanin mo yung takot mo para kay fiancée para lang sa magandang photo,” he said in the caption.
3. They already have a family and a business together
Rocco and Melissa are fur parents to three adorable Corgis named Valentine, Arrow and Cloud.
The couple just shared an adorable “family photo” with all of their fur babies earlier this month.
The self-confessed plantito and plantita also started a humble plant business together called “All About Plants.”
4. Rocco teared up at Melissa's anniversary surprise
Get yourself a man who’s not afraid to express himself.
To mark their third anniversary last September, Melissa surprised Rocco with a compilation of their memorable moments together.
Rocco, an award-winning actor, was not able to stop himself from tearing up while watching Melissa’s homemade video.
5. And he bawled during his proposal
In November last year, Rocco finally asked Melissa to marry him. Melissa said “yes” after the actor got down on one knee in the middle of a beautiful field of flowers.
”This is the best version that I am because of you,” Rocco told Melissa in an emotional speech.
“You always teach me to put God at the center of our lives. Wala kang sawa sa pagtiis sakin, that for me is crazy, crazy. I did all of this just because you deserve the best," he said. "I love you with all my heart I want to spend my life with you, the rest of my life with you. You're the most beautiful woman in the world, in God's eyes, and especially in my eyes. You deserve nothing but the best."
If there were any doubts about his feelings, the way he cried during the proposal swept them away!
