Couples in Cebu stage prenup photoshoot inspired by 'Maria Clara at Ibarra'

It seems like engaged couples are getting more and more creative with their pre-nuptial photo shoots. For five couples in Cebu, they decided to do a history-inspired prenup shoot inspired by  "Maria Clara at Ibarra."

As seen in Bernadette Reyes's report on "24 Oras," Sunday, the couples also included other scenes from the rich history of the Philippines, including the sewing of the first Philippine flag.

Some of the groomsmen would dress up as in guards' uniforms from back in the day while the ladies would be dressed in Filipiniana attire.

According to wedding planner Carlo Abaquita, the theme of the shoot was Philippine history and they used "Maria Clara at Ibarra" as a peg.

"Maria Clara at Ibarra" airs on GMA Telebabad on weekdays after "24 Oras." The episodes are also livestreamed on GMANetwork.com/KapusoStream.
