Jin greets fellow BTS member J-Hope a happy birthday, and it's making us feel things

The whole world is greeting BTS member J-Hope on his birthday, but one greeting in particular is hitting harder than most.

Although he's currently in the military, fellow member Jin made sure to come through.

Under J-Hope’s Instagram post from last week, Jin commented, “Jwehope, happy birthday,” according to fan translations.

'Jwehope' is a nickname Jin has for J-Hope.

This small comment is one of Jin’s rare updates while in the military. Recently, he shared a picture after completing his initial five-week training and told the BTS ARMY to “be happy and take care.”

Jin is the first member of BTS to enlist in Korea’s mandatory military service. They are expected to reconvene as a group in 2025.

A day before J-Hope’s 29th birthday — or 30th in Korean age — his solo documentary “J-Hope in the Box” premiered on Disney+. The film followed the artist preparing for his first solo album “Jack in the Box,” dance rehearsals, the album launch party that BTS attended, and preparations for his headlining set at Lollapalooza 2022.
