#PINNED: These summer cocktails can help us pretend we’re at the beach

#Pinned makes it easier for young Filipinos to  discover meaningful and enriching content and stories that will help them separate music from the noise, wheat from the chaff, and flowers from the weeds.

All our stories are written by young creatives who made it their life mission to know everything there is to know about how fellow young adults can make the most out of their limited down time every day, every week.

Chances are, we’re never going to see the beach this 2020. Which is totally fine, really. As far as a global pandemic with no vaccine in sight is concerned, it’s fine. Summer or not, we’re not going to be sun-kissed anytime soon. However, this doesn’t mean that we cannot take the beach itself back at home. The feel, at least, we can recreate with alcohol.

So like how we pretend there’s mass testing, let’s pretend that we’re at the beach for a moment. Let’s think of the travel plans that we had to cancel or rebook. Or all the prep for a beach bod for summer that has folded as fast as France in World War 2 when we found ourselves confined at home, with nothing but high-calorie junk food for company.

But yeah, enough about guilt and misery. We’re here to pretend, after all. Scroll down to see summer-inspired cocktails that will surely bring out the best beach vibe, even indoors.

So, the usual precautions apply here. Drink moderately and follow your place’s ordinances. If there is a liquor ban, don’t even think of violating it. Just pray to god or, you know, message your local government unit. Remind sir or madam that you’re less likely to spot their gross incompetence if you’re not sober.
