Taylor Swift releases surprise album 'folklore,' drops music video for 'cardigan'

After surprising fans with the announcement of a new album, Taylor Swift didn't waste time before releasing the entire thing on streaming platforms.

Even better, the American pop star also premiered the music video for the first song, 'cardigan.'

In the video, Taylor took viewers  through an enchanting world, looking ethereal as she played the piano in a magical forest.

"folklore" is Taylor's 8th studio album.

In her announcement, the singer said the album wasn't planned, but that she poured all her “whims, dreams, fears and musings" into it.
