This Christmas, small and simple decorations are most apt

This year, Christmas is going to be a little bit more modest than usual. We are still in the middle of a health crisis and a lot of us are still reeling the resulting hardships.

But bringing the holiday spirit into your home shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. A smaller Christmas tree does the job of a large one for cheaper, while a scattering of door or table-top decorations will certainly keep the holiday mood festive.

On "Unang Hirit" Tuesday, Abigail Tan of Natural Art Flowers and Decors gave some suggestions.

For doors and ceilings

You don’t need to fill every corner of your home with garlands and decorations. For as low as P699, you can still greet your guests with an eye-catching wreath that you can hang outside your door.

There are also rings of decorative garlands that don’t cost more than P899.

For table tops

Every meal can feel like Noche Buena with a festive centerpiece. Tan said you can get a pretty swag arrangement for as low as P498.

There are also some Holy Family arrangements that you can get for P799.

Christmas trees

There are perks to a smaller Christmas tree. It is easier to pack away, and think of all the money for decorations you can save with just smaller tree!

You’ll also want to minimize the dust and particles that tend to accumulate in Christmas decorations at home.

To help you avoid spending too much new Christmas decorations, there are ornaments available at P60-P500, ribbons at P100-P200, garlands at P200-P550 and wreaths at P300-500.
