Nickelodeon releases original pencil animation of iconic 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' fight scene

Who could forget the chilling Agni Kai battle between Azula and Zuko in "Avatar: The Last Airbender"?

The epic showdown between the two siblings was no doubt iconic, and now we get to see it in a different light.

On Twitter, Nickelodeon Animation released the original pencil test of the battle.

In 'Avatar: The Last Airbender," an Agni Kai is a traditional firebender duel that characters participate in to fight for their honor. Azula and Zuko's final Agni Kai occurred at the second to the last episode of the entire series.

The popular animated show is set to be turned into a live-action series by Netflix.

However, original creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko recently quit the production, saying that whatever ended up onscreen was not what they envisioned.

In 2010, a live-action film titled "The Last Airbender" attempted to retell the story of Aang and his friends, but it flopped and received a flood of criticism for "whitewashing."  —JCB, GMA News
