Netflix announces its first Philippine-made anime 'Trese'

This badass lady will be the lead character in Netflix's first ever Philippine-made anime series called "Trese," which is set in Manila.

The show was announced during the Netflix Anime Festival 2020 on Tuesday.

Netflix also gave a bit more details on Facebook.

"Aswangs of Manila, beware: Alexandra Trese is coming for you. Enjoy this very first look at TRESE, coming soon on Netflix.

It looks like Trese will be going against the aswang, a spirit in Filipino folklore.

"Trese" is set to stream on Netflix in 2021. —JCB, GMA News
