Spawn Point in Katipunan permanently closes its doors

Spawn Point, a well-loved gaming lounge in Katipunan, announced that it is permanently closing its doors amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Spawn Point thanked everyone who patronized their lounge in the past four years.

"To all who have played here, to all the new friends we have made here in our little place in Katipunan, a very special thank you. We have loved being part of this small but growing gaming community," their statement read.

As a "proper farewell," Spawn Point said that they will remain open until December 30.

"With social distancing and proper precautions practiced, we hope to see you one last time before the year turns," the gaming lounge said. "From all of us at Spawn Point, thank you."

Aside from Spawn Point, numerous other establishments have permanently closed down amid the health crisis. Route 196, a go-to pub in Katipunan for its live music, bid goodbye to its customers in August. â€”Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
