7 Indoor plants to help cool your home this summer

Summer has yet to arrive, but many of us are already feeling the heat at home.

This might be the perfect time to get into the plant craze, because having some green inside your home can actually help you and the fam beat the heat.

Plants go through transpiration, a process where they release excess water into the air, which in turn can help cool its surrounding environment.

As featured in a segment of "Unang Hirit," Aloe Vera and Snake Plants are some of the best indoor plant babies that can make this happen.

These water-storing plants can be placed almost anywhere inside the home since they don't require much watering or sunlight.

New plantitos and plantitas can also go for air-purifying plants like Ferns, Golden Pothos and Palm trees that can help eliminate toxic elements in a space; or lush and leafy plants like Ageleonemas and Peace Lilies, which also have a high transpiration rate.

According to Christen delos Santos of indoor plant shop Unbeleafable PH, plants featured on the report range from P199-399.
