Blackpink’s Rosé breaks records with ‘On The Ground,’ becomes 1st female K-Pop soloist to enter UK singles chart

Blackpink member Rosé is on a record-breaking streak with her newly released debut single “On The Ground.”

According to a Soompi report on Saturday, Rosé has just become the first female K-Pop solo artist to land on United Kingdom’s official singles chart.

Her debut single ranked No. 43 on the chart for the week of March 19-25.

The music video for “On The Ground” also broke the record for the fastest to hit 100 million views for a Korean female soloist.

The track, which was released with Rosé’s debut album “R” on Friday, took only seven days, 15 hours and 51 minutes to reach the milestone.

Before Rosé, the record was previously held by her fellow Blackpink member Jennie, who hit 100 million views for her single “Solo” within 23 days and 10 hours in 2018.
