'Mission: Impossible 7' delayed to May 2022, 'Mission: Impossible 8' to July 2023

It's gonna be a longer wait for the next "Mission: Impossible" movies.

According to Deadline, the seventh film in the popular franchise has been delayed to May 27, 2022, while the eight is scheduled to be released on November 4, 2022.

The film franchise, which stars Tom Cruise, revolves around Ethan Hunt, an agent of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF).

The latest installment, "Mission: Impossible - Fallout," hit the big screen in 2018.

Meanwhile, the sequel to 1986 hit film "Top Gun," also starring Cruise, has also been delayed to July. —JCB, GMA News
