Students, employees, alumni set up DLSU community pantry in Manila

A community pantry has also been set up at the De La Salle University campus in Manila!

According to Martin Cervantes, one of the organizers, the idea for a DLSU pantry began as a meme or joke among members of a Lasallian Facebook group.

However, the group, which consisted of students, employees, and alumni of the university, turned it into reality.

Martin said the DLSU pantry, which opened just this morning, was a joint effort of the Lasallian community.

The organizers also joked that its unofficial name was “dude, pantry, chong,” a play on the slang words “dude, pare, chong.” – RC, GMA News
