Fans of the Thai Netflix series "Girl from Nowhere" were given a major shock at the end of Season 2, and the question on everyone's mind is: Is it really "Bye bye, Nanno" like Yuri said?

According to Jatuphong Khomkrit who directed Episode 8: "The Judgment," whether Nanno returns or not is still something viewers need to find out.

"There was a particular incident, let’s call it Nanno’s fatal mistake, but whether this is the end of Nanno or not is something viewers will have to watch and see," Khomkrit told GMA News Online in a roundtable interview.

The director stressed that "Girl from Nowhere" Season 2 has to be watched chronologically to see the development in Nanno's character, unlike the first season which consists of independent episodes.

Season 2 also introduces a new player named Yuri, who proves to be a match for Nanno as the season progresses.

"We can see that during season 1, Nanno was questioning other people and on various things. In Season 2, Nanno herself gets questioned by a new character until the final episode" Khomkrit explained.

In the final episode, Nanno ends up getting stabbed while trying to stop a deadly confrontation.

As she lies motionless on the ground, Yuri tells her "Your time’s over, Nanno" and gives her a kiss, before revealing a horrifying plan: "I will give people the power to destroy one another."

"Bye bye nanno, What will happen to the world now? It’s so exciting," Yuri adds, then turns to leave.

The audience, however, would later be given a glimpse of a girl in a school uniform looking down from above.

We hear Nanno ask: “In a world where everyone thinks they are free, and does whatever the hell they want, am I really necessary anymore?"

Season 2 of "Girl from Nowhere" (Rated 18+) premiered May 7 on Netflix. It is currently the #1 on Netflix's trending titles. — LA, GMA News
