SB19 members read mean comments about them on social media

SB19 is raising the Philippine flag in the international stage after scoring a nomination in the Billboard Music Awards.

Despite their historic feat, however, some people choose to say mean things about the P-pop group on social media.

In "Brigada Exclusives," SB19 members sat down to read hate comments about them and they remained a good sport throughout.

"Hindi kami galit sa inyo. Please continue mag-comment ng ganyan kasi natatawa talaga kami," said Ken.

("We're not mad at you. Please continue commenting those things because they really make us laugh.")

Some netizens insulted their looks, saying they look like vendors or fathers. Others said they have no originality and one even said they ought to wear a bahag as proud Filipinos.

Ken, Josh, Justin, Stell, and Pablo laughed it all off, but they also gently explained where they are coming from.

"Influenced po tayo ng lahat ng bagay sa buong mundo," Pablo said, addressing the criticism on their lack of originality. "Kunwari po 'yung mga damit n'yo—hindi naman po sa atin 'yan di ba? Kumbaga angkat din po 'yun sa ibang bansa."

("We're influenced by everything in the whole world. For example, your clothes—that's not ours, right? That's also exported from other countries.")

While some of the comments are hurtful, Stell said they do not hold grudges against the people who said them.

"Aanhin namin 'yung negatibong salita n'yo kung mas kilala naman namin 'yung sarili namin?" Stell said. "Maraming salamat sa inyong negative comment. It makes us positive."

("What would we do with your negative words when we know ourselves better? "Thank you for your negative comment.")
