BTS takes over crosswalk in L.A. for live performances of hit songs

BTS marked their return to "The Late Late Show with James Corden" by taking over a crosswalk in Los Angeles with live performances of their hit songs.

The Crosswalk Concert has been a known segment of the show where stars suddenly show up in front of cars when the stop light turns red. The red light lasts only 30 seconds.

Just a few seconds before the light turns back to green, the stars and crew have to run back as fast as they can to the side of the road with their props and equipment. Just how did BTS do?

Pretty well, apparently, but still hilarious.

In the video, the seven members of the Grammy-nominated group could be seen sporting yellow and black suits for “Butter.” Even with some cars honking, they delivered a smooth performance.

RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook then return to the crosswalk in cowboy-themed denim outfits for their feel-good song "Permission to Dance." Even passengers in some cars were dancing along with them!

Of course, their concert wouldn’t be complete without their groundbreaking hit song “Dynamite.” Dressed in blazers of various colors, BTS splashed color onto the streets with their rocking performance.

Just last month, BTS earned their second Grammy nomination for the category Best Pop Duo or Group Performance with “Butter.”

Last year, their single "Dynamite" was nominated for best pop group performance field, but lost to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's “Rain on Me.”

“Butter,” released in May, made an impressive feat in the music charts. Among its achievements was staying at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks, the streak only breaking to give way for BTS's other single "Permission to Dance." —Franchesca Viernes/JCB, GMA News
