Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray turn heads at Miss South Africa pageant

A new Miss Universe South Africa has been crowned, and two Filipina queens were there to witness the occasion.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who was one of the judges, looked stunning in an elegant off-shoulder Mark Bumgarner dress, before slipping into a show-stopping emerald green number.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, who co-hosted the event with Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, lit up the stage in a custom Cheetah Rivera dress.

Post-show, the two Filipina queens, together with Zozi Tunzi and current Miss Universe Andrea Meza, hung out over cocktails and managed to squeeze in a video call with Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.  

Shudufhadzo Musid a was crowned Miss Universe South Africa 2020 at the Grand Arena in Cape Town on October 16.

Pia and Catriona congratulated the winner in their Instagram posts, as well as thanked the Miss Universe South Africa organizers for letting them be part of the momentous occasion. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
