Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices to be rolled back Tuesday

Pump prices of petroleum products will be slashed this week, following for consecutive hikes for gasoline.

In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will roll back prices per liter of gasoline by P0.30, diesel by P0.45, and kerosene by P0.55.

Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which do not carry.

The changes will take effect 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 for all the firms, except for Cleanfuel which will implement the adjustments 08:01 a.m. and Caltex at 12:01 a.m. the same day.

Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.

According to the latest data available from the Department of Energy (DOE), year-to-date adjustments stand at a net decrease of P3.92 per liter for gasoline, P8.99 for diesel, and P13.39 for kerosene as of September 1, 2020. — RSJ, GMA News
