Skyway Stage 3 now open for motorists

The 18-kilometer Skyway Stage 3 Elevated Expressway is now fully opened for motorists.

 

San Miguel earlier announced that all seven lanes of the Skyway Stage 3 will be fully opened

to regular vehicles on Friday, January 15. It will be toll free until further notice.

On Thursday, President Rodrigo Duterte and San Miguel president and COO Ramon Ang together with several Cabinet officials inaugurated the Skyway Stage 3.

In a separate statement, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said that the Skyway Stage 3 from Buendia, Makati City up to North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Balintawak, Quezon City is now open.

“We have waited long for this project and I am pleased to personally experience that we are now reaping the benefits of using the fastest alternative route between NLEX and South Luzon Expressway,” Villar said.

"With the opening of Skyway Stage 3 bypassing the congested Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), travel time from Buendia to Balintawak is cut from two hours to just 15 to 20 minutes," he added.—AOL, GMA News
