Fuel prices seen to go up from September 7 to 13

The Unioil Petroleum Philippines on Saturday advised motorists to expect higher fuel prices from Tuesday, September 7, to Monday, September 13.

According to the latest fuel forecast, the price per liter of diesel will increase by P1.00 to P1.10 while pump prices for gasoline will increase by P0.40 to P0.50 per liter.

The Department of Energy (DOE) said oil companies implemented a price increase of P0.25 to P0.40 per liter for gasoline, P0.60 per liter for diesel, and P0.70 per liter for kerosene effective August 31.

The DOE said this caused year-to-date adjustments to stand at a total net increase of P12.85 per liter for gasoline, P9.95 per liter for diesel, and P8.10 per liter for kerosene. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LBG, GMA News
